LIO Sze Mei was born in Hong Kong and graduated from the Academy of Visual Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University in 2016.Lio’s practice is anchored in exploration of dreams, fairy tales and childhood. Lio’s work predominantly uses ink, charcoal, and pastel to illustrate landscape and narrative, the blurry effect and the colour tone of her work release calm, quietude and timeless feel.
